Where we came from and why we do what we do.
The Forex Lounge began during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when commercial aviation came to a standstill. Our founder, a commercial airline pilot with over 15 years of experience in the financial markets, found himself grounded with time to share what he had learned.
What began as informal mentoring of a few colleagues evolved into a structured teaching practice. By late 2021, the project had grown beyond the aviation community and had started to attract individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds — all of whom shared a common interest in learning how to trade properly.
In 2023, the practice was formally rebranded as The Forex Lounge and relocated to Tallinn, Estonia. The decision to establish a physical base in Europe was driven by a desire to create a permanent home for the work — a place where clients could visit, meet in person, and engage with the markets in a focused, distraction-free environment.
Today, The Forex Lounge operates globally, working with clients across multiple time zones. We remain intentionally small, taking on fewer than 30 new clients each year. Our focus is not on scale — it is on depth, consistency, and the long-term success of the people we work with.

Our founder began trading in 2005, working initially on an institutional desk in Munich, Germany and New York, US before transitioning to proprietary trading and, later, the retail market. Over two decades, he has traded through the 2008 financial crisis, the European debt crisis, the COVID-19 market collapse, and every major geopolitical event in between.

Greg Dlugi
Greg founded The Forex Lounge in 2023 after more than 20 years of active trading across institutional, proprietary, and retail environments. He began teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since worked with over 375 traders worldwide. He trades the same strategies he teaches and makes his live account performance publicly available. He leads all client consultations and The Principal Programme personally.

We are a registered business in Estonia. We operate transparently, pay our taxes, and comply with all applicable regulations. We do not make guarantees about returns, because no one can. We do not use inflated statistics or misleading testimonials.
